Privacy Policy
Leashlight for iOS · Effective September 30, 2026
What Leashlight stores
To work as a care journal, the app saves what you enter: your dogs' names, breeds, birthdays and daily goals, the care you log (walks, meals, water, treats, potty breaks, mood, medicine, grooming and weight), chimes, vet visit notes and your settings. All of it is saved in the app's own storage on your device.
Dog photos
If you choose a photo for a dog, you pick it through the standard iOS photo picker. Leashlight only receives the single image you select, shrinks it and stores that copy inside the app. It cannot see the rest of your photo library.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in or registration.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- No third-party SDKs and no network connection is used; the app works fully offline.
- No push notifications. Chimes are shown inside the app only.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your records stay until you remove them. You can delete single entries, remove a dog with all of its records, or use Settings → Erase all data. Deleting the app also deletes everything it stored. Because nothing leaves your device, we cannot recover lost data.
Children
Leashlight is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Not medical advice
Leashlight is a personal journal and reminder tool. It does not provide veterinary or medical advice. Always contact a veterinarian about your dog's health.
